Questions teachers ask

How much does it cost to teach on Blackboard.lk?

There is no fee to join. Blackboard.lk keeps a 30% platform commission on each sale; the rest is credited to your wallet once the payment clears.

How and when do I get paid?

Your earnings collect in your Blackboard.lk wallet. Once your balance reaches LKR 5,000, request a payout to any Sri Lankan bank account. Refunded sales are deducted from your wallet.

How do students pay class fees?

By debit or credit card on PayHere’s secure payment page, for a recorded course or for each month of your class. Card details go to PayHere, never to you or to Blackboard.lk.

Do I have to stop my physical class?

No. Many teachers keep their hall classes and use Blackboard.lk for recordings, live classes for students who can’t travel, and fee collection.

Can I teach in Sinhala or Tamil medium?

Yes. Courses and classes can be taught in Sinhala, Tamil or English medium.

How are teachers checked?

Our team reviews every application before a teacher can publish, and every course is reviewed before it goes live.
